Meet Ryder

Ryder is your wingman for keeping in touch. Did you know that for thousands of years, people relied on carrier pigeons to deliver important messages, long before emails and texts? These remarkable birds carried news across great distances. They even delivered messages during wartime when other forms of communication failed. These birds had one important job: get the message to its destination.
Ryder is a proud pigeon and he takes sending your letters very seriously. But the fact is, unlike his ancestors, he isn't a very good flyer. His wings don't always cooperate, and his landings tend to wobble. More than once, he's ended up sitting in a puff of loose feathers, wondering what just happened.
That's why I gave him a paper airplane. It carries him when his wings can't, and his little crash helmet keeps him safe when landings get a little rough.

And just like me, every now and then I've crashed in writing these letters, but like Ryder, we always try to shake it off, get back up, and keep going until the letter gets where it's meant to go.
And Ryder knows you don't have to be perfect to reach someone who matters. You just have to keep going, and I know every grownup could really use a wingman.

Writing letters sounds easy until you're staring at a blank page wondering what to say, or you realize that the letter you meant to send two weeks ago is still sitting on your desk (or, in my case, a letter from several years ago). Ryder understands and at LFG, we get it.
Ryder's main job is to help:
- Find your words. When you're not sure how to fill in the spaces in your letter he'll ask you questions to help you come up with a response. He never writes for you.
- Give you friendly reminders. Once you download the app, you'll choose when and how often you'd like him to check in.
- Save your discoveries. Ryder has a strong memory, and so he'll hold on to any different details or moments you want to remember in the journal you share with him.
And if you start to fall behind, Ryder will never judge. He's accustomed to turbulence.
Ryder is here to ensure your letters are cleared for takeoff. Right now, he is designed strictly for adults. We think kids have enough apps at this point, and we want to keep them on the page. Scan the QR code included in your package to get started, or search for him in Google Play or Apple App Store.
